Dashboard Confessional Acoustic Solo Show @ Solus, Cardiff

Chris Carrabba from Dashboard came down to Cardiff to perform yesterday. John Ross did the opening act for the gig.

I must say that I didn't expect to wait as much as I did throughout the show. A bunch of drunk Welsh boys behind me did not help ease my impatience. Apparently, I look like Hiro Nakamura because I could see them, from the corner of my eye, making constipated faces and shouting "YAA-TAA ! !".

I waited for almost 2 hours before the John Ross guy came up to the stage. He played one song after another and there came a point where I was a little worried that I am not at the right show. But halfway through his 5th song, a guy walked up on stage and sat behind him. It was Chris! At that moment I had this urge to do something which I had no idea I was capable of - I wanted to squeal like a teenage girl. Well, you'll hafta forgive me because it's a first time thing for me. I've not even been to a gig before.

But of course I didn't squeal, and the performance wasn't as awesome as I hoped it would be, which is probably due to the fact it's an acoustic show and not a full-band performance.

I didn't take much pictures because I used up most of the memory recording clips.

I was there too, were you right at the front? I was in the pit for the beginnings of each set
I wish the crowd wasn't so packed though, I had to stand at the back for the majority of the night :( top
