Hello world.

Lectures were cancelled last Monday which meant that I had a long weekend which also meant that I was presented with the get away opportunity!

Destination: Sheffield.

4 a.m on a Saturday morning. The long walk to the train station in the freezing autumn's air reminded me of those early mornings I had to get up to every weekend for work. Nope, this time its different. I felt warm inside.


I tried to sleep through the journey but only managed to sleep for an hour or more. The lights in coaches were too bright I had to pull my beanie over my eyes.



At the Sheffield Central Train Station, I was greeted by the amazing view of a terraced water feature with a water fountain. There was also this steel water fall thingy (a.k.a The Cutting Edge). I hung around to take pictures while waiting for Junewong to arrive. The weather wasn't ideal for photo taking though. Oh well!



When Junewong arrived, we Supertramed ourselves to Yapp-Tammy-Yvann's place. Supertram is so cool. It's like a bus but it moves like a train. It should be called a Supertrus or Superbrain.... or not. Y-T-Y's apartment was so cool and high tech-ed and poshy. It was like living in a hotel suite but without cleaning services. :) Unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures of the apartment. Oh well!


There was a street market thingy in the city so we went to have a look. It's like a pasar malam only that the stalls open up during the day. They sold all sorts of stuffs. There were food from different places in Europe.
Food-we-tried-list:

-Belgian? pancakes with Baileys and cream
-shrimps with garlic and olives?
-roast pork baguette!

We Supertramed ourselves to Meadowhall shopping centre (6th largest shopping mall in U.K!). Tagged along for shopping for a bit and went for bowling and Quantum of Solace after. Fell asleep for the first 15 minutes of the show so I was pretty lost with what was going on.


We had dinner at the chinese-mamak-takeaway place which was good. Fried udon pattaya rocks. Although I still prefer Newcastle's TienTien's Black pepper pork chop udon.



On the following day, we had dim sum for lunch. The dim sum was great! We ordered so much that the table was barely big enough to fit the trays and plates that came. On top of it all, Iris, Junewong and Yvann paid for me. :) After lunch we played some badminton which was fun.

Came back down to Cardiff the following day with Junewong's guitar under my arms and Iris's Creative Inspire 5.1 spearkers in my backpack. So many freebies! :)


Iris, Yvann and Junewong come down to Cardiff okay? Dinner will be on me okay (and by me I mean my sister XD)! That's if you guys ever read this. Otherwise no need lah.
