I've written letters to you on the whitest paper, but they all return to me a pale brown Sunday, November 30, 2008 |

Hello there.

How have you been? I hope everything is fine. You seem fine. It's been a while. Seems like forever to be honest.

I've been alright if there's the unlikely chance that you'd be interested to know. Nothing much came up this week, which is very much a new low in terms of the amount of fun I had, in comparison to last week. Company was plentiful a week ago. People came down from London and Gloucester for a few days, crashed over at my sister's. Oh, not forgetting the maid, Merya whom we managed to smuggle into Cardiff for the entire week.

Merya should have had more chores to do rather than just preparing dinner, which she did extremely well. Her Egg-wrapped Minced Pork Stew not only sounds sophisticated enough to be on a restaurant's menu, its heavenly taste still lingers on my tastebuds as I am typing this out. Everlasting taste. Metaphorically speaking of course, would have been disgusting otherwise.

Company gave me an excuse to go somewhere, so we went to Barry Island. It's about 30 minutes by train from Cardiff. I can't believe I've not been there before last week. Cardiff Bay isn't the only tourist-sy to visit afterall. Anyways, I love Barry Island. I can't really think of words to describe it but I'll give it a go: Beach, View, Spectacular, Town, Small, Amusement Parks, Fish n Chips, Cliff, Ocean, Horizon, Amazing. That probably didn't give you the exact picture I wanted to paint in your mind, but I'm pretty certain that you'll like Barry Island as much as I do. It's your kind of place. If you'd ever come visit, come in the summer then we could 'berkelah di tepi pantai' just like how we'd used to write in our B.M essays. Our attempt to do so was a complete failure as we were chased away by dogs in addition to the blistering cold winds that threatened to blow us away.

Will you be working during the winter break? How bout in the summer? I've written up my C.V. I'll need it for industrial year placement applications that I should have done by now. I feel like I'm not up for it. Hrmm...

How are your meals? I feel so hungry. It's 10pm and I've not had dinner yet. I wanted to roast some chicken today but my sister didn't wana. Sigh. I'm supposed to fry udon, but I'm feeling quite lazy already. I should probably shower now before I get lazy to do so too. I'll write to you some other time yeah!

P/S: Chelsea 1-2 Arsenal. WOOT! A little lucky I admit, but I'll take it!

Sincerely,
Me.

I see in you, coastlines reaching out
When there's nothing left to reach....
Pull me back to shore
I'll never reach my place.

Dragonball the Movie (2009) Monday, November 24, 2008 |

Refer to post.

I hope the movie is nothing like the trailer. The trailer has Forbidden Kingdom all over it.

*Fingers crossed*

because you think you can treat someone like shit doesn't mean you should.

Today's test was a wake up call for me. The things I'm supposed to do. The things that I have been doing. It's time to pull my socks up to my chest. I shall start by memorising the numerical value of Pi, π.

Here's a video on how to do so:-

It's so annoying when you've just woken up from a dream and you can't really remember what it was. Bits of it would run through your mind for a minute or two like a messed up slide show. After that, the slides just burn into ashes. It would be weird if we could actually remember every single detail of our dreams. We'd eventually get confused with what's real and what's not. Right? They should make a movie about that. Title: "Dreaman".

Pocahontas *colours in the wind*

What's more annoying is the fact that I actually make it a point to remember my dreams but I always forget. Last night I dreamt about something silly and random. The only slide I manage to salvage from the dream-killing-monster in my head was the one where my sister knocked on a door and Junewong answered, half awake, with heavy make-up on her face.

Went to Nottingham for the Malaysian games last week. It was nice to see so many Malaysians crammed in a place. There were moments where I thought I was in a Malaysian University.

It was a day trip thingy, so I didn't have much time hanging around snapping pictures. It was great fun though, meeting up with old friends.

I really should have taken more pictures around the Nottingham University campus. They've got a spectacular campus. Lakes. Trees. See, it would have been easier if I could just upload a picture.

I'm feeling quite left out here in Cardiff. I need TRAM!

Hello world.

Lectures were cancelled last Monday which meant that I had a long weekend which also meant that I was presented with the get away opportunity!

Destination: Sheffield.

4 a.m on a Saturday morning. The long walk to the train station in the freezing autumn's air reminded me of those early mornings I had to get up to every weekend for work. Nope, this time its different. I felt warm inside.

I tried to sleep through the journey but only managed to sleep for an hour or more. The lights in coaches were too bright I had to pull my beanie over my eyes.

At the Sheffield Central Train Station, I was greeted by the amazing view of a terraced water feature with a water fountain. There was also this steel water fall thingy (a.k.a The Cutting Edge). I hung around to take pictures while waiting for Junewong to arrive. The weather wasn't ideal for photo taking though. Oh well!

When Junewong arrived, we Supertramed ourselves to Yapp-Tammy-Yvann's place. Supertram is so cool. It's like a bus but it moves like a train. It should be called a Supertrus or Superbrain.... or not. Y-T-Y's apartment was so cool and high tech-ed and poshy. It was like living in a hotel suite but without cleaning services. :) Unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures of the apartment. Oh well!

There was a street market thingy in the city so we went to have a look. It's like a pasar malam only that the stalls open up during the day. They sold all sorts of stuffs. There were food from different places in Europe.
Food-we-tried-list:

-Belgian? pancakes with Baileys and cream
-shrimps with garlic and olives?
-roast pork baguette!

We Supertramed ourselves to Meadowhall shopping centre (6th largest shopping mall in U.K!). Tagged along for shopping for a bit and went for bowling and Quantum of Solace after. Fell asleep for the first 15 minutes of the show so I was pretty lost with what was going on.

We had dinner at the chinese-mamak-takeaway place which was good. Fried udon pattaya rocks. Although I still prefer Newcastle's TienTien's Black pepper pork chop udon.

On the following day, we had dim sum for lunch. The dim sum was great! We ordered so much that the table was barely big enough to fit the trays and plates that came. On top of it all, Iris, Junewong and Yvann paid for me. :) After lunch we played some badminton which was fun.

Came back down to Cardiff the following day with Junewong's guitar under my arms and Iris's Creative Inspire 5.1 spearkers in my backpack. So many freebies! :)

Iris, Yvann and Junewong come down to Cardiff okay? Dinner will be on me okay (and by me I mean my sister XD)! That's if you guys ever read this. Otherwise no need lah.
