Day Job 1: "Maybe you should not wear jeans..."

Technically, 'Day Job 1' should have been yesterday but it turned out that yesterday was just the 'interview'. It was a very poor 'interview' as the employer-lady did most of the talking, and by most I mean she talked for almost an hour. Not quite a conversation but a monologue. Come to think of it, it was not much of an interview but a not-so-brief briefing of what I was supposed to be doing only that, due to the length of the briefing, I was not able to distinguish instructions from FYI.

Well, today, the official Day Job 1, I was brought to the other section to assist a clerk. The employer-lady warned me that the clerk has a reputation to be easily agitated but today she seemed very patient towards my naivety and foolishness towards office work. In fact, I forcefully ripped apart the rings of a ring file and dislocating the lever which I was supposed to use to gently open up the rings. She went calling for her god and repeatedly questioned, how I managed to do that. Fortunately, with just as much force, I was able to place back the lever and she was back to her calm state, although I could almost read her thoughts that could have been '...and I'm supposed to train this nincompoop who can't even open up a ring file...'.

However, it don't think I could hope for a better start. Apparently, the clerk was in one of her best moods ever today, according to some of her colleagues whom were all surprised that she had not been shouting or screaming at all for the day. One of the first few things she told me was not to be surprised if I noticed that she is not on speaking terms with one particular colleague.

Pretty tensed office huh. I think I've seen nothing yet.
