5...4...3...2...1...ROLL THE TAPE!
Karl and I had to go for some TV2 "interview session" thingy on 'Colours of Malaysia'. We were not the only people being interviewed of course, probably about 12 students including one or two lecturers from each course. Anyway, we got to choose the questions we want to answer and mine went something like:
Q1: Are you aware that Sabah and Sarawak only became part of Malaysia after Malaysia achieved independence?
Q2: Name one Malaysian politician you admire. Why?
Q3: Are you aware of the existence of Jabatan (insert some racial integration thingy)?
I chose this question because of the first question was easy. Anyway, when I looked around the room, I could see a few girls jotting down notes on a piece of paper and a phone next to their ears as though the A2 Physics Finals Paper had leaked. .....Wow.....
After about an hour an a half, I took my turn at sitting next to the mike. I was told to look at the camera (which I think I failed) and to loosen up. Apparently you can't act like you are about to take a passport photo in front of this camera. Yea and so....
Lady: Are you aware that Sabah and Sarawak only became part of Malaysia after Malaysia achieved independence?
Me: Yea, I do.
*silence*
Lady: *Waved her hands about as if she were about to throw up* Do you have anything more to add on that?
Me: ....Oh....uhh.... Hi mum. I'm on TV.
.....Okay.. I made that up. Anyway, the questions are repeated, a few different people would get the same question. They would probably pick the best for each question and the remaining had just waste 2 hours of their time for this. However, I got to skip chemistry lab class and get the lecturer pissed off.....ahhh....priceless.
