No one screams emo better than The Used..

Sometimes you could listen to them over and over again, each time you'd just wish it could be played louder.

The day I took 3 Panadol's Saturday, May 27, 2006 |

Yea, so I suddenly got sick.

When I was studying, my right nose-hole got itchy. The itch was just like that of a mosquito bite and it was so annoying so I had to reach in and scratch. Pardon me if this may seem disgusting but I did not actually have a choice. I would have to tie my hands up to not scratch.

Yeah, well minutes later I started sneezing and my right nose-hole filled itself up with mucus and that marked the end of me breathing through my nose. So when I sat for my paper the next day I had to breathe with a different rhythm, *inhale-inhale-inhale-exhale-inhale-inhale-inhale-exhale*, yeah just like labor. It was either that or I'd leave a map on my exam papers, little wet patches of Australia, Europe and Africa.

Anyway, on the evening after the paper, Nai Chen, Benjamin and I got caught in a sudden downpour on our way to futsal. Being so desperate to play, we got a cab to the courts but we were still anything but dry.

After futsal I slept over James's house cause I could hear dOTA calling out for me. When I entered his room I was struck with so much envy. This guy has a carpet on his floor, a spring mattress for his bed and this air-cooler-fan thing. Just being in the room, I felt like my room was indeed a prison cell. I sleep on a foam mattress, or WAS a foam mattress. Now the foam is all worn out it's equivalent to sleeping on 2 pieces of cloth. Spring mattress! HAH!

The next day my body started to ached so bad, I felt like an old man or a pregnant lady, even though I don't know how exactly they feel but I think its quite bad since their hands are always on their backs and faces screw up. So, being told having back pains is a symptom that I might very well be tucked inside the bed with a wet towel on my head, I took 2 Panadol Soluble's and a normal Panadol to go with it. Did you know that you were supposed to drink the Panadol Soluble solution when it's all bubbly? The gas evolved was supposed to clear your nose or something, James said. Well, apparently I didn't.

Da Vinci's Code was overrated like I expected it to be. Maybe it's partly because I read the book and we all know that no movie can ever beat its book.

"A lot of stuff went through my head. One of the most important things I said to the boss after the game, I know a lot of people wrote a lot of stuff about the game but the team showed me we don't have anything to envy Barcelona. I think I can be proud of what we did in the game and it reassured me of the one thing I wanted to know all the time - how far I can go with that team.
It showed me altogether that they are a team that had heart and a lot of quality and I think you saw that too. I know we lost but I'm sure you saw that too." - Thierry Henry -
This is great! I'm so glad he realizes how much Arsenal and the Premiership needs him. A few more seasons of wonder goals but hopefully....none of these poses.

Gutted... Wednesday, May 17, 2006 |

Henry having a lot to say to Barcelona's star players in black.
"They are already a good team, so if you help them, it is going to be very difficult to beat them." - Thierry Henry-

So did you watch the match? The dream final. The match Barcelona, with 14 players on the pitch, came back from a one goal deficit to beat a ten men Arsenal side who could have killed the game if not for tired legs.
Oh gawd...this defeat still bothers me. I can't sleep even though I've only slept like 3 hours before I woke up for my practical exam. If I am already feeling this bad, I wonder what the Arsenal players are going through, having played over 70 minutes with one man short with so much commitment that their legs gave way when the moment came to kill off the game.
A dream final? Definitely not. I'm quite sure I am not the only one disappointed with how the game was handled by the men in black, or at least they managed to still keep they jersey's black throughout the match. There were surely hints that there was probably a blue and red jersey underneath the blacks, just in case Barcelona were short of outfield players to substitute.
11 vs 10? No. 14 vs 10. Why should I throw such heavy accusations on the match officials which at times appear to be role-playing the three blind mice?

Yeah so they threw this Barca ass wipe to the pits, but I'm quite sure his replacement wasn't any better. The linesman failed to see that Eto'o was offside when he ran on to a Larsson pass which resulted in their first first goal of the match. Ass wipes.
I feel so sorry for the Arsenal players who had equal chance of winning even though they were one man short and of course poor refereeing.
Thierry Henry, if you are reading this, don't abandon the Gunners...
“What we gave today was more than them in terms of heart and everything, they had the luck but we fought hard. As I said to the guys in the dressing room you have nothing to be ashamed of nothing at all." - Thierry Henry -
