Stupid curry Saturday, July 30, 2005 |
Woke up very early today like around 11 am. Had time to play the first 3 minutes of dota b4 I was dropped from the game cause I lagged too badly. This happened twice in succession.
Fed up with that, I changed and went for lunch at Lim Mee Yoke. I've been eating there a lot lately. Cheap and yummy. As i was reaching for the Sweet and sour chicken I didn't realize something really terrible happen to my shirt...
I actually dipped part of my shirt in CURRY! And you know how that looks like on any clothing. Head down, I finished my lunch asap and hope I would just evaporate to nothing.
Now I need to get the stain off. I've got kerosene but I can't find the lighter.
I spent most of my time today finishing the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It was a very good book, arguably the best as compared to its 5 predecessors. However, after finishing it, it left me feeling helpless or hopeless.
*Smacks myself* come on. It's just a book you've been peeling your eyes to read at weird hours of the day on a screen which was probably toasting your eyeballs to ash.

A scene from the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Go read it NOW!

Sigh... Friday, July 22, 2005 |
Today my mum called to remind me that my 2nd dosage for the hepatitis B vaccine is due. So...

Sigh.
take that! Thursday, July 21, 2005 |

so this happens when lecturers take your hats away.
This is in fact done by Hanna and not me.
I've been having a lot of weird dreams about my circle of friends which I can never remember whenever I try to recall them.
I was just thinking, what if dreams are actually a summary of our problems? I mean no matter how weird it is, if you look at it at some perspective, it is actually stuff has been stuck in your head for days. Maybe dreams are actually thoughts knocking at your semi-conscious mind's door asking for permission to meet the conscious mind. Maybe dreams are thoughts similar to the desperate door-to-door salesmen that stands by your door until you finally give them some attention. What if there is actually more to learn in fantasy than in reality?
I had this dream a few days back that I managed to remember some of its details. I was going for a vacation with my family to somewhere. We checked-in a hospital which was actually where we were going to stay for the vacation. It was actually a pretty normal thing in the dream to have a hospital full of tourists , a miniature petting zoo at the "lobby" and swimming pools in the hospital. Yes I was very sure it was still a hospital despite all these.
So we checked in and unpacked a little then I don't quite remember what happened for the next few minutes/hours. After that my mum came back and told me that a friend of mine was looking for me outside the hotelispal(hotel+hospital). I knew who was down there even though my mum didn't actually mention the name but I'm not going to mention it here either. :)
So my journey down the hotelispal was filled with obstacles such as missing slippers. birds that pecked at your fingers whenever u try to press the buttons on the elevator, falling elevators and people who won't let go of you because they think they are about to be crushed from the impact. Even so, I never got to meet the friend since Nai Chen woke me up just as I stepped out the main entrance. I never got to know why the friend was looking for me.
I tried going back to sleep to continue the dream but it didn't work. :( *bang* It occurred to me then and there how much I was missing someone.
If this doesn't make any sense to you at all, you are sane.
Went to gym today but we were only allowed 15 minutes.
Today, as i was walking out the gates of school to my economy rice shop, a girl walked up to me.
girl: Hi. Would like to take part in a competition? It's very easy. You'll just need to take a photo and you'll stand a chance to win a phone.(the latest Panasonic phone)
me: uh...
girl: Please just join. It's very easy. Come...
(I followed her to this group of lala's happily posing and taking turns to take their photos.)
girl: All you need to do is wear these wristbands and pose a "cool" pose.(The competition is organised by Mc Donald's for charity or somesort. The wristbands are cool.)
me: uh... i don't think i can pose.

Those things on my ears are wristbands.
After lunch, I had maths class. And...

That is Mr. Ong who successfully got me to take my crown off. I had to wear my crown to school today since i woke up late and had no time to tame my hair.
Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Some Will Escape - Underoath
Hey unfaithful I will teach you
To be stronger, to be stronger.
Hey ungraceful I will teach you
To forgive one another.
I just realize that there are somethings I can't lose.

The trolleys and baskets may appear to be empty but in reality there were mountains of groceries in each backet and trolley. (Nai Chen just told me that with the amount of items i was buying, i could have just took the EXPRESS lane. Great.)
Me drinking Milo in my Bowl. (i regret not getting a cup now)
Blogs.
I just realised that they are synonyms to newspaper reports about politics. Significant happenings are always curtained up with meaningless events. They would twist things so much that you have no clue whatsoever on what they are talking about. Or they would just draw kiddy pictures that makes you think it is anything but what they actually mean. This is what makes blogging kinda hard at times because u cant just blog events as what they really are. You'll need to think of enough twists here and there to confuse a reader somehow so that he or she wouldn't know too much.
However, have you ever done something u know its not good, as in u know it annoys people somehow but you just can't do a thing about it? It's like this unchangeable bad habit you are born with, a curse, that you know it would annoy someone even before u start doing it, but you'd still do it. Pretty weird isn't it? Even so, I think this is still nothing to be compared to some people who are annoying but do not realize it. The worst of course would be those people who hate images of themselves as in it is okay for them to do something but a big crime if someone else does it.
It just struck me how important it is for us not to be so straight forward with giving opinions about something, seeing as most of us do not really appreciate this kind of approach and the effects ranges from a slap in the face to the usual silent treatment. But sometimes we don't get all straight forward on something just for the sake of voicing out an opinion, sometimes it is just a desperation to get something bothering you day and night explained or clarified so that you would once again live in peace. But of course exceptions are not given and we are all guilty.
Sometimes I just wish that emotions were like computer programmes which we can control as we like. Develope a love emotion for something we should love and a hate emotion for something we should hate. I keep on wishing but the fact will remain, we can only sleep them off.
Good night.

yeah that is an umbrella. and that thing in the bag is my burger. :(

Slept at 3 in the morning today caused we got home late after a late supper at Rafi The Mamak (ok that's not the real name). Hanna Daphne Champton were all at my place. Daphne and Hanna were supposed to go back I think but then the rain came pouring like cows and elephants. So I slept on a area of about 0.5 x 3 meters of mattress and Champton probably having the other half. Daphne and Hanna took turns going online and sleeping on my bed. Both of them were jiwangly typing their blog entries probably inspired by the thunder and rain pouring all over Subang.
Had brunch with my dad after Champton went off to Mid Valley. It was nice to see him happy to see me. Not that he was never happy whenever he sees me before, only it's somehow different when you are away for quite some time and then when you meet you just cant help smiling and talking happily. Oh well, I don't think anyone would get what I'm trying to say here. I said goodbye to my dad and he took a taxi to Port Dickson for some seminar.
I got home and Hanna wanted to go Mid Valley "to buy sunglasses". So being the tag-along-er, I tag-alonged. Unfortunately, we were caught in a jam which was just about 500 meters away from the Mid Valley carpark and was stretching about 3 to 4 lanes. Hanna's Volvo was running out of petrol to stay any longer in the sea of cars so she swam the car to shore with great skill that I got so car/sea sick.
We end up at Petrojet Petrol Station, Hartamas where I tried to throw up but failed. Hanna and Daphne both had self-made hotdogs. It was a cool petrol station. They sell practically anything. Cows and elephants started to fall from the skies again, so we made a move back to *Subang.
Hanna was ermmmm not SO sure bout how to get back to Subang so we got ABIT lost, somewhere on the way to *Ipoh.
Hanna dropped me back home after a drive through Mc Donalds take out. Did nothing much after that but some homework and chatting. Although now I know how it feels like when there's something u want to blog about but can't since it isn't really private.
Anyway special thanks to Champton, Nai Chen(tapau-ed kolo mee for us and let us hang out at his place on Saturday), Hanna, Daphne, Samuel Tsan, Stephanie Liaw and Mok and Chock Tong(or smth lidat) for the company and good weekend spent. Not forgetting Theodore for pawning him behind his fountain(dota) just now.
Spare me the pain of repeating history.
Alone Friday, July 08, 2005 |
Today, to make up for the 80 bucks i lost, i ate maggie for lunch and dinner (5 packets). Today i know what it feels like to really be alone. Spent my whole day in my room doing nothing else but dota and some homework. Not to mention, I officially ate alone which sucks like hell. At a CC now with some guy cursing everytime he gets pawned (What the fuck! cHi bai!). ahh..
We're so far away - Mae
did you know how you would move me, did you know?
did you know how you would move me?
well, i don't even think sobut the moment's magic swept us away
and it's so close, but we're so far away.
Sometimes I think I wish for the wrong things. Yesterday’s entry I talked about how life here is such a routine. Well, today was everything but a routine, a catastrophic disaster is what it is.
Put aside all the classes. I finished early today (11 am) so I went home to do some laundry. I was sitting at the table trying and failing to do some chemistry questions while waiting for my laundry to be done. Then, some guy came right at the main door and called me.
“Berapa orang tinggal sini?” he asked.
“Tak pasti,” I replied.
Then he started writing me, what I didn’t know at first, a receipt. I was so blur I didn’t know what he was even doing. I later found out it’s some fogging thing to rid the mosquitoes. So I thought it was okay since in Kuching, that was a practice from time to time.
After he was done writing, “Ini bayar lapan puluh ringgit untuk satu tahun.”
“ ??? Bayar sekarang?” one of the most redundant questions ever asked.
So that was it. My precious money gone just like the fog they blew into the front yard of the house when the wind came. At first I thought this is a practice here in KL. You pay for everything, even to fog your bloody yard. I thought the bill will be evenly divided among the housemates or claimed from the landlord.(Told housemates but they seem unwilling to pay) The more I thought of it as the day turned into night, the more I felt I’ve been ripped off again.
So there you have it. Yet another super-stanley-siong-gets-ripped-off story. At first it was the calculator which I found out was a fake after using it for weeks, some rotten candy and now the worst of all this 80 bucks fogging service for a year.
This sucks. Give me back my routine life. My 80 bucks too. I’ll gladly fog your house even into your bathroom. Bloody foggers.

Just like a book I've never read,
I'd prefer to begin again.
Brightest – Copeland
If you find yourself here on my side of town,
I'd pray that you'd come to my door,
Talk to me like you don't know what we ever fought about,
Cause I don't remember anymore,
I just know that she warms my heart,
And knows were all my imperfections are,
And she said that I was the brightest little firefly in her jar,
And I just know that she warms my heart,
And knows where all my imperfections are,
And she said that I was the brightest little firefly in her jar.
We had our first chemistry experiment done today which was pretty much one of the experiments we had already done in form 5. Even so I had problems doing it. Oh well, too late to regret never participating in group experiments in form 5.
Food in the cafeteria was surprisingly not bad. They actually serve edible spaghetti.
After school I bought this candy thing which was too sweet and hard *BLuek*. I think the only reason I bought is because I was curious why at least 20 students were swarming this man on this mobile-candy-stall. It really looked like people rushing to buy concert tickets or something. Unfortunately it turned out to be some yucky candy.
Nai Chen took a last minute flight back to Kuching. He finally got his PSD letter. Nothing much happened. Everything is pretty much a routine here. I’m actually counting my days to the weekend. sigh
I started my day with a RM 1 sausage bun from the school cafeteria which I had to eat on my way to class but to find myself late yet again. One good thing about Mr. Ong our maths teacher is that he is always early for class. Then again, maybe it is a bad thing.
I had lunch at 11 at the Sri Melur (mamak place). Had nasi beriyani and teh ais (no one in KL calls milk tea Teh-Ci-Peng). I only ordered teh ais when my attempt to order my usual iced Chinese tea was followed by a ‘???’ look from the waiter and my friends.
“They don’t have Chinese tea at the mamak?”
“DUH!”
For a moment I felt like I’ve been granted the wrong citizenship.
After school, I got home and did some chemistry homework. One thing about A-levels, homework seems endless. Then again, it’s not so different from form 5. Only difference is, you do not feel so guilty about not finishing them in form 5 than when you are doing A-levels.
dOTA-ed (after I finished part of my homework of course). Finally managed to win a 1 v 2 insane a.i’s game with Broodmother. Had dinner quickly after that at Asia Café with Stephanie since I start to feel the gastric (I think) coming. Came back. Did more homework. Played more dota. Slept.
"First Day Of My Life"
This is the first day of my life,
I swear I was born right in the doorway,
I went out in the rain suddenly everything changed,
They're spreading blankets on the beach.
This is my first ever blog entry. I'm in the school library. I can't sign into msn messenger. Apparently my attempt in doing so will be recorded. This feels weird which you can tell by my "primary school"sentences.
